''Oenobotys vinotinctalis'', the wine-tinted oenobotys moth, is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Hampson in 1895. It is found in the United States, where it has been recorded from North Carolina to Florida, west to Texas.〔(mothphotographersgroup )〕 It is also found in the West Indies and from Mexico〔(Oenobotys at funet )〕 to Central America. The wingspan is about 14 mm. The forewing colour varies from brownish-red to yellowish-red or pinkish-red with black antemedial and postmedial lines and two black discal spots. The hindwings are brownish-grey. ==Etymology== The species name refers to the colour of the forewings and is derived from Latin ''vinum'' (meaning wine) and ''tinctus'' (meaning a dye).〔(Bug Guide )〕
